STEVE TURNER INSURANCE SPECIALIST FLORIDA

Valrico FL

Hi, I’m Steve Turner, and I’d like to be Your Insurance Agent and Broker serving residents of Valrico FL.

For many years, I’ve been helping neighbors (like you), in Valrico FL, find insurance plans that meet your individual, family, and business needs that are Affordable (Cheap). Which types of insurance can I assist you with?

  • Accident Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Disability Insurance
  • Group Health Insurance
  • Health Insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • Medicare Insurance
  • Medicare Advantage Insurance
  • Medicare Supplement Insurance
  • Prescription Drug Insurance

Why choose Steve Turner Insurance Specialist?

Because I’m an “Insurance Specialist“. An “insurance specialist” is a broad term encompassing insurance agents and insurance brokers, but the key difference lies in who the agent represents versus who the broker represents.

An “insurance agent” works directly for an insurance company, selling their specific policies to clients.

An “insurance broker” acts as an independent intermediary, comparing policies from multiple companies to find the best fit for their client’s needs, essentially representing the client rather than the insurance company.

I am both a licensed Insurance Agent and a licensed Insurance Broker.

My number one goal in life is to help people and ensure, without a shadow of a doubt, that you and your family are secure and protected. I will always be by your side, helping you mitigate risk by providing the industry’s best and most affordable insurance solutions.

I will find insurance plans for the entire family to help cover whatever life throws at you. I can help you save on severe medical emergencies, find a health insurance plan with low-to-no-cost doctor visits and affordable prescription medication, and protect your family in the event of an unexpected accident or illness.

Best of all – it doesn’t cost you anything extra to use an experienced Insurance Agent and Broker like me to help you find the Insurance Plans that fit your individual, family, or business needs.

The companies that sell the insurance plans “you choose” pay me – you don’t pay me. Calling any big insurance company directly won’t result in your getting a lower price, as they will forward your call to the next available insurance agent on their list. You won’t have had any opportunity to learn about the insurance agent you’re speaking with in advance to understand their qualifications or experience level and make an informed choice about who you want to work with.

Scroll down to the Contact Me section below and get in touch with me by phone, email, or schedule a “No Obligation” chat through my calendar. I look forward to speaking with you!

Valrico FL

Of course. Valrico is one of eastern Hillsborough County’s most significant and desirable suburban communities. From my location in the northwest suburbs of Citrus Park, I’ve always viewed Valrico as the quintessential “bedroom community”—a place that grew out of the Brandon boom to become a large, affluent, and primarily residential haven for families.

Zip Codes: 33594, 33595, 33596

Latitude, Longitude: 27.9463° N, 82.2420° W

The “Rich Valley” of the Cotton Fields 🌾

The story of Valrico begins in the 1880s on a large cotton plantation known as “Long Pond.” The arrival of the Florida Central and Peninsular Railroad through the area was the catalyst for the creation of a formal town.

The community’s beautiful and unique name was coined by a visitor. In the late 1880s, William G. Tousey, a history professor from Tufts College in Massachusetts, was traveling through the area. Impressed by the fertile, rolling landscape, he declared that it was a “Valle Rico,” which is Spanish for “rich valley.” The name was officially adopted for the new post office in 1890.

For many decades, Valrico remained a very small, quiet farm town, known for its citrus groves and sawmills. Its modern identity was forged in the explosive suburban growth of the late 20th century. As its neighbor Brandon began to fill up in the 1970s and ’80s, developers looked east, and Valrico became the next frontier for families seeking newer homes, good schools, and a bit more space.

A Quintessential Bedroom Community 🏡

Today, Valrico is a large, unincorporated community that is almost entirely residential. This is what distinguishes it from its neighbor, Brandon. While Brandon is defined by the massive, bustling commercial corridor of State Road 60, Valrico’s main roads are quieter and lined primarily with the entrances to its many subdivisions.

Life in Valrico is centered on family, schools, and youth sports. It is a classic bedroom community, where residents live and play, but often commute to Brandon for major shopping and to Tampa for work. The community is known for its numerous golf courses, well-maintained parks, and excellent public schools. Like all of its immediate neighbors, with the exception of Plant City, Valrico is an unincorporated Census-Designated Place (CDP), with all government services provided by Hillsborough County.
