STEVE TURNER INSURANCE SPECIALIST FLORIDA

Sun City Center FL

Hi, I’m Steve Turner, and I’d like to be Your Insurance Agent and Broker serving residents of Sun City Center FL.

For many years, I’ve been helping neighbors (like you), in Sun City Center FL, find insurance plans that meet your individual, family, and business needs that are Affordable (Cheap). Which types of insurance can I assist you with?

  • Accident Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Disability Insurance
  • Group Health Insurance
  • Health Insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • Medicare Insurance
  • Medicare Advantage Insurance
  • Medicare Supplement Insurance
  • Prescription Drug Insurance

Why choose Steve Turner Insurance Specialist?

Because I’m an “Insurance Specialist“. An “insurance specialist” is a broad term encompassing insurance agents and insurance brokers, but the key difference lies in who the agent represents versus who the broker represents.

An “insurance agent” works directly for an insurance company, selling their specific policies to clients.

An “insurance broker” acts as an independent intermediary, comparing policies from multiple companies to find the best fit for their client’s needs, essentially representing the client rather than the insurance company.

I am both a licensed Insurance Agent and a licensed Insurance Broker.

My number one goal in life is to help people and ensure, without a shadow of a doubt, that you and your family are secure and protected. I will always be by your side, helping you mitigate risk by providing the industry’s best and most affordable insurance solutions.

I will find insurance plans for the entire family to help cover whatever life throws at you. I can help you save on severe medical emergencies, find a health insurance plan with low-to-no-cost doctor visits and affordable prescription medication, and protect your family in the event of an unexpected accident or illness.

Best of all – it doesn’t cost you anything extra to use an experienced Insurance Agent and Broker like me to help you find the Insurance Plans that fit your individual, family, or business needs.

The companies that sell the insurance plans “you choose” pay me – you don’t pay me. Calling any big insurance company directly won’t result in your getting a lower price, as they will forward your call to the next available insurance agent on their list. You won’t have had any opportunity to learn about the insurance agent you’re speaking with in advance to understand their qualifications or experience level and make an informed choice about who you want to work with.

Scroll down to the Contact Me section below and get in touch with me by phone, email, or schedule a “No Obligation” chat through my calendar. I look forward to speaking with you!

Sun City Center FL

Of course. Sun City Center is one of the most famous and influential communities in Florida, a place that didn’t just grow but was invented to redefine the very concept of retirement in America. From my location in the family-oriented suburbs of Citrus Park, Sun City Center represents a completely different model of community-building—a massive, self-contained world designed exclusively for active seniors.1

A Vision of Active Retirement ☀️

The story of Sun City Center begins with one of the 20th century’s most visionary developers: Del E. Webb.2 Fresh off the monumental success of his original “Sun City” in the Arizona desert, Webb set his sights on Florida. He purchased a vast tract of former cattle pasture in southern Hillsborough County with the goal of creating his first “Sun City” on the East Coast.

The community officially opened on January 1, 1962. The concept was revolutionary for its time. Webb wasn’t just selling houses; he was selling a complete, active, and affordable lifestyle. He built a town from scratch with a variety of home models, extensive recreational facilities like golf courses and swimming pools, and on-site commercial and medical services.

The name, “Sun City Center,” was a deliberate branding choice by Del Webb.

  • “Sun City” was his established, nationally recognized brand that instantly communicated a promise of a warm, sunny, and leisurely retirement.
  • “Center” was added to distinguish it from its Arizona predecessor and to market it as a new “center” for this innovative lifestyle, conveniently located between Tampa and Sarasota.

A City on Wheels ⛳

To visit Sun City Center today is to enter a unique universe. The most iconic and defining feature of the community is that golf carts are a primary mode of transportation.3 There are dedicated, marked golf cart lanes on nearly every major road, and every shopping center, doctor’s office, and restaurant has designated golf cart parking spaces. It is, in the most literal sense, a city on wheels, giving residents an incredible degree of freedom and mobility.

The community is remarkably self-sufficient. It has its own hospital, numerous grocery stores, banks, churches, and an astonishing array of clubs and organizations—over 200 of them—catering to every imaginable hobby.4 The entire social and recreational infrastructure is managed by the powerful, resident-run Sun City Center Community Association.5 It is a very large unincorporated Census-Designated Place (CDP) governed by Hillsborough County, but in practice, it functions with the pride and self-governance of its own city.6

Landmarks and Community Hubs 🏌️‍♀️

The most important places in Sun City Center are the institutions that support its unique, self-contained, and active lifestyle.

  • The Sun City Center Community Association Central Campus: This is the social and recreational heart of the community, a sprawling campus with clubhouses, meeting rooms for hundreds of clubs, state-of-the-art fitness centers, indoor and outdoor pools, and extensive craft facilities.
  • Sun City Center Emergency Squad: A truly remarkable and unique institution. Founded in 1964, this is an all-volunteer ambulance service, run by residents for residents, that provides free emergency medical response and transportation within the community. It’s a powerful symbol of the community’s spirit of self-reliance.
  • South Bay Hospital: A full-service, 138-bed hospital located right in the heart of the community. Its presence provides critical, accessible healthcare, a cornerstone of the original Del Webb vision.10
  • Kings Point Suncoast: A massive, distinct gated community within the greater Sun City Center area. It has its own enormous clubhouses, theaters, and amenities, and functions as a “community within a community” for its thousands of residents.
  • The Old Castle Restaurant: A long-standing and beloved local eatery. This German restaurant provides an authentic, non-chain dining experience and has been a favorite for special occasions and casual meals for years.
