STEVE TURNER INSURANCE SPECIALIST FLORIDA

Palm River-Clair Mel FL

Hi, I’m Steve Turner, and I’d like to be Your Insurance Agent and Broker serving residents of Palm River-Clair Mel FL.

For many years, I’ve been helping neighbors (like you), in Palm River-Clair Mel FL, find insurance plans that meet your individual, family, and business needs that are Affordable (Cheap). Which types of insurance can I assist you with?

  • Accident Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Disability Insurance
  • Group Health Insurance
  • Health Insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • Medicare Insurance
  • Medicare Advantage Insurance
  • Medicare Supplement Insurance
  • Prescription Drug Insurance

Why choose Steve Turner Insurance Specialist?

Because I’m an “Insurance Specialist“. An “insurance specialist” is a broad term encompassing insurance agents and insurance brokers, but the key difference lies in who the agent represents versus who the broker represents.

An “insurance agent” works directly for an insurance company, selling their specific policies to clients.

An “insurance broker” acts as an independent intermediary, comparing policies from multiple companies to find the best fit for their client’s needs, essentially representing the client rather than the insurance company.

I am both a licensed Insurance Agent and a licensed Insurance Broker.

My number one goal in life is to help people and ensure, without a shadow of a doubt, that you and your family are secure and protected. I will always be by your side, helping you mitigate risk by providing the industry’s best and most affordable insurance solutions.

I will find insurance plans for the entire family to help cover whatever life throws at you. I can help you save on severe medical emergencies, find a health insurance plan with low-to-no-cost doctor visits and affordable prescription medication, and protect your family in the event of an unexpected accident or illness.

Best of all – it doesn’t cost you anything extra to use an experienced Insurance Agent and Broker like me to help you find the Insurance Plans that fit your individual, family, or business needs.

The companies that sell the insurance plans “you choose” pay me – you don’t pay me. Calling any big insurance company directly won’t result in your getting a lower price, as they will forward your call to the next available insurance agent on their list. You won’t have had any opportunity to learn about the insurance agent you’re speaking with in advance to understand their qualifications or experience level and make an informed choice about who you want to work with.

Scroll down to the Contact Me section below and get in touch with me by phone, email, or schedule a “No Obligation” chat through my calendar. I look forward to speaking with you!

Palm River-Clair Mel FL

Of course. Palm River-Clair Mel is one of Hillsborough County’s most important legacy suburbs, a place that tells the story of Tampa’s post-World War II boom. I see Palm River-Clair Mel as a foundational community—a hardworking, diverse, and centrally located area that was the original American dream for a generation of Tampa’s working families.

Zip Codes: 33578, 33619

Latitude, Longitude: 27.9192° N, 82.3832° W

A Tale of Two Post-War Suburbs 🏡

The first thing to understand about Palm River-Clair Mel is that its hyphenated name is a modern Census Bureau creation, not a historic town name. It expertly combines the names of two distinct, massive suburban developments from the 1950s that grew so large they eventually merged into one continuous community.

The “Palm River” portion is named for the Palm River, a brackish estuary that winds through the area and empties into McKay Bay. The original Palm River Estates was one of the first subdivisions built along its shores in the 1950s.

The “Clair-Mel” part has a classic developer’s story. It was the name given to Clair-Mel City, another huge development of affordable, concrete-block homes built in the late 1950s. The developer, General Development Corporation, named the community after his two daughters, Claire and Melanie. This charming piece of local history is at the heart of the community’s identity. Together, these two developments provided thousands of starter homes for veterans and working-class families who were fueling Tampa’s growth.

A Hardworking and Central Community 🛠️

Today, Palm River-Clair Mel is a bustling, densely populated, and incredibly diverse unincorporated community. Its character is defined by its working-class roots and its unbeatable location. The housing is a mix of the original, modest mid-century homes, apartment complexes, and mobile home parks.

Its strategic position just southeast of downtown Tampa and immediately adjacent to Port Tampa Bay has always been its greatest asset. For decades, it has been the primary residential area for the thousands of workers who power the port, the shipyards, and the nearby industrial districts. The Lee Roy Selmon Expressway, which forms the community’s northern border, acts as a direct artery, connecting residents to downtown and other major employment centers. Like the vast majority of suburban Hillsborough, it is an unincorporated CDP, with all government services provided by the county.
