Mango FL

Hi, I’m Steve Turner, and I’d like to be Your Insurance Agent and Broker serving residents of Mango FL.

For many years, I’ve been helping neighbors (like you), in Mango FL, find insurance plans that meet your individual, family, and business needs that are Affordable (Cheap). Which types of insurance can I assist you with?

  • Accident Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Disability Insurance
  • Group Health Insurance

  • Life Insurance
  • Medicare Insurance
  • Medicare Advantage Insurance
  • Medicare Supplement Insurance
  • Prescription Drug Insurance

Why choose Steve Turner Insurance Specialist?

Because I’m an “Insurance Specialist“. An “insurance specialist” is a broad term encompassing insurance agents and insurance brokers, but the key difference lies in who the agent represents versus who the broker represents.

An “insurance agent” works directly for an insurance company, selling their specific policies to clients.

An “insurance broker” acts as an independent intermediary, comparing policies from multiple companies to find the best fit for their client’s needs, essentially representing the client rather than the insurance company.

I am both a licensed Insurance Agent and a licensed Insurance Broker.

My number one goal in life is to help people and ensure, without a shadow of a doubt, that you and your family are secure and protected. I will always be by your side, helping you mitigate risk by providing the industry’s best and most affordable insurance solutions.

I will find insurance plans for the entire family to help cover whatever life throws at you. I can help you save on severe medical emergencies, find a health insurance plan with low-to-no-cost doctor visits and affordable prescription medication, and protect your family in the event of an unexpected accident or illness.

Best of all – it doesn’t cost you anything extra to use an experienced Insurance Agent and Broker like me to help you find the Insurance Plans that fit your individual, family, or business needs.

The companies that sell the insurance plans “you choose” pay me – you don’t pay me. Calling any big insurance company directly won’t result in your getting a lower price, as they will forward your call to the next available insurance agent on their list. You won’t have had any opportunity to learn about the insurance agent you’re speaking with in advance to understand their qualifications or experience level and make an informed choice about who you want to work with.

Scroll down to the Contact Me section below and get in touch with me by phone, email, or schedule a “No Obligation” chat through my calendar. I look forward to speaking with you!

Mango FL

Of course. Mango is one of those wonderfully straightforward “Old Florida” communities whose name tells you everything you need to know about its origins. I see Mango as a classic example of a 19th-century railroad town that has since evolved into a vital crossroads community, deeply integrated into the suburban fabric of eastern Hillsborough County.

The Sweet Story of Mango 🥭

The history of Mango is tied directly to the two forces that built this part of Florida: the railroad and agriculture. In the 1880s, when Henry B. Plant was extending his South Florida Railroad east from Tampa, the tracks were laid directly through a large and beautiful mango grove. When it came time to establish a depot and a name for the small settlement that was sprouting up, the choice was simple, logical, and delicious. They named it Mango.

For the better part of a century, Mango was a quiet, rural town. Its identity was defined by the railroad tracks and the citrus groves, winter vegetable farms, and packing houses that surrounded them. It was a hardworking agricultural community, a sister town to its neighbors like Seffner and Dover, all serving as key shipping points for the produce that fed the nation.

A Crossroads Community 🚗

The character of modern Mango is defined less by its agricultural past and more by its strategic location. The sleepy farm town was completely transformed by the post-war suburban boom of its massive neighbor, Brandon, and the construction of the interstate highway system.

Today, Mango is a bustling, working-class crossroads. It sits at the critical junction of several major transportation arteries: Interstate 75, Interstate 4, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (State Road 574). This location has made it a key commuter corridor and a hub for light industry and distribution. It has been largely absorbed into the greater Brandon area, and while it retains its own name and census designation, it functions as an integral part of that larger suburban landscape. The community is a mix of modest, older single-family homes, mobile home parks, and commercial properties that line its busy roads. Like most of its neighbors, it is an unincorporated Census-Designated Place (CDP) governed by Hillsborough County.
