Hi, I’m Steve Turner, and I’d like to be Your Insurance Agent and Broker serving residents of Bealsville FL.

  • Disability Insurance
  • Group Health Insurance

  • Life Insurance
  • Medicare Insurance
  • Medicare Advantage Insurance
  • Medicare Supplement Insurance
  • Prescription Drug Insurance

Why choose Steve Turner Insurance Specialist?

Because I’m an “Insurance Specialist“. An “insurance specialist” is a broad term encompassing insurance agents and insurance brokers, but the key difference lies in who the agent represents versus who the broker represents.

An “insurance agent” works directly for an insurance company, selling their specific policies to clients.

An “insurance broker” acts as an independent intermediary, comparing policies from multiple companies to find the best fit for their client’s needs, essentially representing the client rather than the insurance company.

I am both a licensed Insurance Agent and a licensed Insurance Broker.

My number one goal in life is to help people and ensure, without a shadow of a doubt, that you and your family are secure and protected. I will always be by your side, helping you mitigate risk by providing the industry’s best and most affordable insurance solutions.

I will find insurance plans for the entire family to help cover whatever life throws at you. I can help you save on severe medical emergencies, find a health insurance plan with low-to-no-cost doctor visits and affordable prescription medication, and protect your family in the event of an unexpected accident or illness.

Best of all – it doesn’t cost you anything extra to use an experienced Insurance Agent and Broker like me to help you find the Insurance Plans that fit your individual, family, or business needs.

The companies that sell the insurance plans “you choose” pay me – you don’t pay me. Calling any big insurance company directly won’t result in your getting a lower price, as they will forward your call to the next available insurance agent on their list. You won’t have had any opportunity to learn about the insurance agent you’re speaking with in advance to understand their qualifications or experience level and make an informed choice about who you want to work with.

Scroll down to the Contact Me section below and get in touch with me by phone, email, or schedule a “No Obligation” chat through my calendar. I look forward to speaking with you!

Bealsville FL

Of course. Bealsville is one of the most historically profound and significant communities in the entire state of Florida. Discussing Bealsville requires a shift in perspective—away from the stories of developers and railroads, and toward a powerful narrative of freedom, faith, and resilience. It is a place whose legacy is immeasurable.

A Legacy of Freedom and Farmland legacy

The story of Bealsville begins at the very dawn of emancipation. In 1865, immediately following the end of the Civil War, a group of twelve freed slaves from the nearby Hopewell Plantation embarked on an audacious and historic endeavor: to own the land they had once been forced to work.

Led by a man named Alfred Beal, these families—including the Washingtons, O’Neals, and Glovers—pooled what little resources they had and purchased 160 acres of land. This act of land ownership by formerly enslaved people, just months after the war’s end, was an extraordinary achievement and the foundation upon which the entire community was built.

The community was named in honor of Alfred’s son, Mills Beal, who became a revered community leader and the first pastor of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. This church, along with the Glover School, became the two unshakable pillars of the community. The Glover School, partially funded by the Julius Rosenwald Fund to support the education of African American children in the rural South, was the center of intellectual and social life for generations. Bealsville was built on the bedrock principles of faith, family, education, and farming, creating a self-sufficient and tight-knit society.

A Historic Community in a Modern World 🌍

Today, Bealsville remains a small, semi-rural community nestled in the agricultural landscape of eastern Hillsborough County, just south of Plant City. It is crucial to understand that Bealsville is not an incorporated city or even a Census-Designated Place. It is a historic, unincorporated community whose identity is fiercely protected by the descendants of its founding families, many of whom still live there today.

The sense of history in Bealsville is palpable. It’s a place where family names on the street signs and mailboxes are the same as those on the original land deeds. In recent years, there has been a tremendous effort by the community to preserve its precious heritage. The Bealsville-Glover Association has worked tirelessly to restore the historic Glover School, transforming it into a museum and community center to ensure its story is never forgotten. Bealsville is more than a place on a map; it’s a living monument to the courage of its founders.
